I think that Hatfield's could use some better signage, the place could easily be mistaken for a little house next to BLD.

Totally shady that BLD would knowingly steal customers.

Not to rub it in, but Hatfield's was our favorite dinner last year... ;)Jonahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13804755161604646427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19908578.post-60970368115746763262008-01-16T12:29:00.000-08:002008-01-16T12:29:00.000-08:00Anonymous, it was a "mistake" that BLD could have ...Anonymous, it was a "mistake" that BLD could have corrected twice-- first, from the moment FL identified himself as the guy with the reservation who called from the plane; and again when the waitress chose to say that the chefs were on a photo shoot instead of telling the truth.

Are you justifying BLD's actions?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19908578.post-14299156661858930572008-01-14T17:16:00.000-08:002008-01-14T17:16:00.000-08:00(1) The address of BLD is only imprinted on the ch...(1) The address of BLD is only imprinted on the check, which you only get after you've eaten;
(2) The sign, which you can see if you look at BLD's website, consists of cryptic symbols that look like a spoon, knife, and fork on a napkin, which you would never know to be the letters, b, l, d, unless you already knew about the restaurant name;
(3) BLD DOES NOT TAKE RESERVATIONS;
(4) When I explained to Hatfield's what had happened after the fact, they were similarly angry as the bait-and-switch had happened to other customers in the past;
(4) I SPENT THE ENTIRE EVENING TALKING ABOUT THE HATFIELDS TO THE SERVER AT BLD!
Lastly, thanks for rubbing it in about the food at Hatfield's. There IS an address, there IS a sign, there IS a distinctly different menu, level of service and atmosphere. If you really did your research, on this restaurant you were DYING to try...you never would have made that mistake. And that's what it was: A mistake. Not calculated, in my opinion, at all. That being said, if you DO make it in to Hatfield's? The buttermilk-poached chicken is out of this world.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19908578.post-42044403943327665272008-01-13T18:46:00.000-08:002008-01-13T18:46:00.000-08:00How awful!
